1st Dive: Beginnings [Action]
[A quiet and peaceful slumber after a long, tiring day in high school for Ai Nanasaki ended up with her waking up in the middle of a forest, her body on the ground surrounded by leaves. Not that she thought she was waking up at first, but that she was in the middle of an odd dream, rather. A particularly vivid one.
It was a bit cold - certainly colder than her room had been - and her body didn't feel as relaxed as it did on the comfy mattress. And she was lying on something else other than the ground.
As Ai leaned forward, her eyes inspected her surroundings curiously, her head feeling a bit dizzy. It resembled the hill her grandfather owned, but... there was something off about it. She wasn't on the route she usually took, either - there wasn't one to begin with.
Still feeling something on her back, she reached over her shoulder and touched what felt like a wing. Also, she seemed to be wearing a peculiar white sundress and not the pyjamas she had gone to bed with.]
Huh...
[This was so strange. And it felt real. It didn't feel like a dream.
Ai continued turning her head around, and it wasn't until her gaze landed on a book right beside her when she stopped doing so.
The girl reached out and inspected both covers of the peculiar object with curiosity in her eyes.
Standing up with the book in her hands, she opened it up, trying to make sense of what was happening. But what was inside of it just seemed to confuse her even more at that point.]
Where am I...?
[Her voice sounded as confused as it could be. It was a good question. And why did it feel like she had wings on her back?]
(OOC: Ai will be walking around the forest while inspecting the book, trying to either find anyone who could help explain what was going on or a sign of civilization. You can catch her there.)

[ She spreads her wings a little. ] I can show you the way into town. It's easier for me to orient myself from the sky. Just ask Xander. We were wandering through the woods for a while.

A smile crept up on her face upon the unicorn's suggestion.]
Oh. Thank you, I would appreciate it. Is the town far from here?
[She'd rather not stay in this cold if she could help it, especially when she was wearing this simple sundress.]
So you did not arrive here alone? Is Xander another one of your kind?
[She probably pronounced the name incorrectly.]

The news of more humans being here was relieving, though Xander was not a name Ai had heard of before - it wasn't Japanese for certain. Did people like her here find talking to a unicorn as surreal as she was now?
She then found herself glancing down to the journal that she was still holding in her hands, recalling yet another confusing detail about being transported here.]
Um... What about this? Do you know what it is?
[She gestured towards it.]

[ She pulls out her own and pushes a couple of buttons with her hoof. A journal entry she recorded for herself a couple of days ago pops up. ]

But then again, she just met a talking unicorn.]
I take it that everybody has one, then.
[She then proceeded to look at her own, flipping it open, inspecting it thoroughly for the first time.]
I have not used mine yet, but... looking at it now, it does not look that complicated.
no subject
Where are you from, anyway?

Ai looks down to the white sundress that she was wearing. It wasn't exactly her color, nor would it keep her warm during the winter.]
But I can change out of this, right?
[Though where would she find new clothes anyway? There could've been a shop in the village, but she didn't have any money.
Pretty sure the unicorn meant "everybody", or it was her way of saying that because she was... well, a pony.
She looked back towards Twilight after she was asked the question. Given who she was talking to, a little extra explanation might have been necessary.]
I am from Japan. It is a country on Earth, which is where humans like me live. It is an archipelago on one of our oceans, the Pacific.
[Then she remembered that she hadn't introduced herself, either. She does it right afterwards, bowing a little.]
My name is Ai Nanasaki, a high school student.
no subject
You're not the first human to tell me about Earth. I guess that's where your kind come from.
[ And she bows in return. ] It's a pleasure to meet you, Ai. My name is Twilight Sparkle.
no subject
That is... comforting to hear, then.
[She really could use some better clothes, and it would've been obnoxious if she couldn't change out of this.]
Yes, Earth is the planet that we live in, though there are a lot of other countries aside from Japan.
[The humans in Luceti could have been transported from anywhere, and Ai couldn't help but wonder whether she'd find anybody else from Japan.
And then she heard the unicorn introduce herself again, making her raise her brow a little, the amused smile on her lips remaining.]
I know. You already told me your name.
[Twilight Sparkle was not something one could forget easily, anyway.]
It is a pleasure to meet you.

Purple alicorns... are non-existent on Earth, yes. Talking animals in general are.
[Ai scratches her cheek in her reply, a soft chuckle escaping her mouth as she said it.]
Are there a lot of other people in Luceti like you who are not from Earth?
[It sounded like Twilight had encountered a lot of humans already, but what of any other unearthly creatures that might be here too?]
no subject

So there were differences between people in her world - probably more significant than they seemed.]
I take it the two other ponies are from your world, too? While Donatello is from a different one altogether?
[If anything, conversing with a pony didn't turn out to be so different than talking with a fellow human. Maybe it'd be the same for most other creatures she'd encounter.]

[Did Twilight mean that someone being human here did not necessarily mean they came from Earth like her? Where else could they have come from, though?]
Earth is fairly large on its own - there are seven billion people on the planet. I... doubt that somebody I know is also here.
[It was a village they were going to, so she estimated that there weren't a lot of other people like the two of them who were taken to Luceti. That's not to say that she wasn't hoping somebody else she knew was here, too.]

Though, that meant that perhaps those transported here were not exactly a random selection.]
That is too much to be a coincidence... especially if there are that many ponies in Equestria. Do you think there is a reason for that?
[She doubted it was any sort of luck that brought Twilight and two of her best friends here, of all ponies in Equestria.]
no subject
They've reached the edge of the forest. A settlement is in view close by. Twilight gestures with a hoof. ] Well... welcome to your home away from home. Until we can find a way to leave, that is.
no subject
Maybe she would think about this some more later, as her eyes saw the first signs of a settlement in this world. Finally, the village was in front of them.]
Thank you.
[She nodded Twilight's way, her smile showing her appreciation for her help escorting her here.]
Will there be a place for me to stay somewhere here?
no subject
[ She spreads her wings again. ] I should get back to the library. I need to reshelve the reading room today. But you can come visit me anytime, Ai!
no subject
She then bowed a little in the alicorn's direction appreciatively.]
Thank you for escorting me, Ms. Twilight.
[A library sounded like a place she would eventually check out; seeing as she might want to keep up with the studies she was interested in. That is, if there were any books on those subjects here.]
let's ignore that I did that last comment from the wrong character journal X(
[ She indicates her own journal by levitating it. Then she flaps her way into the sky and away towards the village square. ]
